Nanlong Junior High School is located in the Nanlong area of Meinong District in Kaohsiung City. This area is bordered by the Moonlight Mountain to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and the Chading, Guishan, and other mountains to the east. Elonong Stream runs from east to west and flows due south across this area. Tropical coconut trees stand in the countryside with beautiful scenery, clear water and the fertile land. Most people here are Hakka, one of the Han Chinese originating solely from the Central Plain in China. People are harmonious and conservative, making effort to preserve the unity and integrity of traditional culture. Meinong is noted for farming and reading among various towns.
該校位於高雄市美濃區南隆地區，北有月光山，東有茶頂、龜山等山環繞，荖濃溪自東向西流貫於南，熱帶椰林飄曳於田園中，景物幽美水甘壤肥，其居民盡屬粵藉嶺東漢家（客家）同胞，源於中原，風俗純樸，忠孝傳家，耕讀相傳著稱全縣各鄉鎮。
